you have to do the HARD things…

sometimes...

Shared a great post on social media during the week and thought it important to share with the entrepreneurial mothers community as well… so here it is:

YOU HAVE TO DO THE HARD THINGS…
and there’s a list of them!

I’m pretty confident in saying that I have agonised over a number of these, if not all, through my working life and I suspect you have to.

Regardless, find a way and do what you need to do…

The things that no one else is doing. The things that scare you. The things that make you wonder how much longer you can hold on.

Those are the things that define you. Those are the things that make the difference between living a life of mediocrity or outrageous success.

The hard things are the easiest things to avoid.  To excuse away. To pretend like they don’t apply to you.

The simple truth about how ordinary people accomplish outrageous feats of success is that they do the hard things that smarter, wealthier, more qualified people don’t have the courage — or desperation — to do.

Do the hard things. You might be surprised at how amazing you really are.

when great minds get together, beautiful things happen…

Gotta love when creative minds get together! Today I met up with one classy dame who not only knows her stuff but who is also very open about sharing. Whilst I didn’t know her that well, I suspect we are going to get to know each other a whole lot better!

If the seed of an idea we were drawn to today germinates, watch out world, here we come.

Why not go for ‘world domination’ I say. OK, maybe not, but get a band of merry folk together and let their creative juices flow, all idea-hell could break loose… excellent. Bring it on!

Stay tuned…

Make Buying or Selling a Business Happen: Turning Good Ideas Into Great Results…

hear! hear!

The world is not short of ideas. It’s not. It is short of people who can execute on them. [This is where we need buyers of business to step up.] It is short of people who know how to take their aspirations and make a real impact on the world with them.

What differentiates the great ideas that end up on the cutting room floor from those that wind up changing the world? There are five steps, or rather five competencies you can build that separate the haves from the have-nots, the doers from the talkers … They are not a mantra for meditation, they are not positive affirmations that you chant to yourself in the mirror, they are actions.

And…the same applies to the buying and selling of businesses.
We see many business buyers get stuck because they just cannot pull the trigger, they cannot get over their fear enough to back themselves.
Same with the business sellers, sometimes, they just cannot get over the fact that the business will be able to be run by someone else.
Nothing will happen, of course, unless they do. Execution is King!
